Lanth is a subsector in the Spinward Marches, and has a capitol planet of the same name. It is a typical lightly populated rift province containing 27 worlds, but serves as a major crossroads between the Regina, Jewell and Rhylanor subsectors. The current Empress Ilsa was originally the Duchess of Lanth, and still maintains a substantial estate there.

A mega corporation known for the diversity of it's products, as well as it's mining operations and starship construction. Although it is a publicly traded company, large blocks of it's stock and the key positions on it's board of directors are still controlled by the Ling family.
Lunion is a subsector in the Spinward Marches, and has a capitol planet of the same name. The Ling Standard shipyards at Lunion and Strouden within this subsector are the major shipbuilding points in the Spinward Marches. This subsector is the jumping off point for the Five Sisters subsector and a major trade route to the Sword Worlds.
The ancient name for what is now the Federation of Arden. Currently in the news due to a high profile attempt by so-called "Lyrian freedom fighters" to regain their lost empire.
