I spent 8 years in the US Navy operating and maintaining shipboard (cruisers) nuclear power plants.  I was on the receiving end of a lot of planned maintenance systems :)

I figured the one way to get the Rat's attention is to treat this like another engineering evolution.  Speak his language in a way...
