To Recap:
You arrive at the offices and you are met by a Petty Officer First Class.
His name tag reads Tauong and he has a fair number of service stripes.
He is an ordinary looking human male with the tan skin, dark hair and
brown eyes most humans have.
He would blend in on most human worlds.
The two of you end up in a office, it looks like it is his.
He points to a chair and a coffee machine, "You want some coffee
before we start?"
"Its actually pretty good Navy coffee.  For a small outpost, we do
pretty well on supplies."
PO1 Tauong sits behind his desk and drinks from the coffee mug that
was waiting for him.

You pour yourself a cup and sit down.
PO! Tauong picks up a percomp and says, "I'm going to record an
audible only record of this portion.  Just for the records."  With
that, he presses a button on the device and sets it down.
"Please state your name, what ship you are serving on, your
rank/position, and any ports you have visited in the last six months."
