Montez will open the cargo hatch and trundle the gear up into the bay. He will unload the gear in a a couple neat heaps and head back down the ramp with the carrier. Once at the bottom he will give the machine a slap and send it on it's way.

He will head over to Kat and Boris.

OOC: Not sure where this places him in relation to the conversation between Kat and Boris. Just tell me when I can jump into the discussion.

Matt

Kat looks up as a flash of color comes into her field of vision and gives a small smile. She just leans against the side of the ship, keeping clear of Boris should the need arise that he does indeed have to protect her from something and casually mentions. Looks like one of the Vargr is back.

Boris will straighten a bit and change his center of balance but not go for any weapons. He then reaches for the beverage provided and finishes it.

"Doctor, what can you tell me about the crew that I should know before commiting to contract?"

Kat thinks a minute before replying. "I trust them. I haven't seen any mistreatment of any kind. Some of more skitish then others. Some, like Karl keep their opinions to themselves. On a professional note (her profession that is), they are all healthy and should be around for a long time. We look out for each other. I've been on shore leave with some of them and even though we have cross species, it's been fun and they are part of the family. Don't let that fool you. The Vargr are still vargr and do their prestige bit. They know when they need to get serious and when they can let go a bit."

She looks over at Boris with a serious look. "In all honesty, this group is more of a family to me then some I've had. I might play the flighty doctor and in truth I do have fun and don't normally go by all those regs that keep the captain standing up so straight. Mess with me in my medbay and it will be the last thing you remember for a long time. Mess with the ship and you won't be around to remember anything. I believe it might be safe to say that most, if not all, have a similar feeling. If you're looking for a place you can belong for a bit, then you might have found it. Karl left on a wrong note. He should have told us first. It's not the fact that he left, it's how he did it. All of us have been out in space for a bit, we know crew come and go. Treat everybody like how you want to be treated and you should do ok."
She pauses and takes a sip of her kaff. "Now, what should the crew know about YOU I figure that they will start to pump me for some information since they know I've spent the most time with you so far." Kat grins and looks at Boris.

( Yes, he still has the Russian accent. It is just far easier to write normal)
"I have done many thigns in the last few years. Some of which I not proud of even though they kept food on my plate. These I will not discuss. Mostly I like machines better then people. They never lie to me. I am good at all the things normal Marines can be expected to be good at. I have kept up those skills even when the job has not called for them."

Seeing Montez and seeing that the Dr is unconcerned he relaxes a bit.

"As for a home. I do not hope for such yet. It is far too soon for that. I do take my contract, and the people I work with seriously though."

Boris runs a hand through his short hair and looks like he is a bit embarressed to have said so much and looks down at his feet for a few seconds.
