"Yes. A collegue of mine (ruf) had an expidition studying Cometary Impact
zones at Tunguska, but the main base was near a small town in the eastern
Ukraine. I (ruf) have often thought of doing one of my own on the Chernobyl
site testing long-term radioactive residuals. But of (ruf) course the War
makes  that rather difficult if not impossible. Plus I think they may have

With that much language training,  the high tech of his homeworld,  the
above backstory, and a pseudo editic memory makes it pretty likely he's
heard of all kinds of stuff. I remember an introduction to languages course
from my own schooling, and I sort of based it on that. It was a course
designed to determine what sort of language students would be interested in
