Montez glances as the captain and steps slightly forward towards Boris;  "Solomani marines?  If you join our Pack would you defend your mates if we confronted your former masters?  With the war going on you may be faced with that decision."

 

Montez is otherwise fairly sanguine about Boris joining the group or even Karl leaving.  He is used to the rapid shifts in Vargr social groups and if anything finds the stable pattern of human hierarchies to be puzzling and vaguely distrubing.

Boris looks at Montez and pauses before answering. "What you speak of? Is your ship a warship in secret? Why would you be fighting Solomani?" Boris looks at the Captain and raises and eyebrow in question. 

Montez notices Boris' look over at the captain but ignores it and bores in;  "We are not a warship but we may be traveling near the lines.  Plus with commerce raiders rampaging about even a hundred parsecs is not enough distance sometimes from the front line.  Would you give your allegiance to this Pack if it came to a conflict with your previous Pack?"
