When I arrive back at the ship I stride purposefully up the ramp to  
the hatch. Without a word or outward appearance of my current mood I  
cycle through the hatch and into the ship. Continuing my demeanor I  
look for either of the two Vargr that are my bridge crew.

Finding Montez giving Boris a tour of the ship I wait for a moment  
until there is a break in the conversation.

With nothing more than a stern formality and hard expression on my face.

"Mr. Montezgvegh. Escort Mr. Luchenko to the bridge. Once there  
contact Mr. Kkriger'dakonar. (All three names said with the perfect  
and correct pronunciation and inflection of position)
Tell him I want his fuzzy ass back on the ship immediately."

Wait only long enough for Montez to acknowledge the orders then turn  
on my heels and take to the bridge myself. Stopping briefly in my  
quarters to see if I can locate a contact method for Theo.

This should give Montez and Boris enough time to reach the bridge  
before I do.

Kriger, after he gets the response from the PO makes towards the 
door, thanks the PO and once clear of the building, he will percomm 
the Captain and share his information with him.

GM Note: This call arrives right after Captain Mitchell makes his 
grand entrance on the ship.

Boris will gladly take the tour and although will attempt to notice everything will comment on little. 
 
Noticing things like overall maintenance levels, cleanliness, apparant age of the vessel, does the interior conform to the exterior, level of luxury and more.

Montez will ask Kat;  "Doctor, do you mind a tour of your medical bay for Boris here?  I know he will be impressed."

Montez will flick an ear at the captain's choice of words and then wag.  "Right away captain."  Turning to Boris;  "Come on after me, we haven't been to the bridge yet anyway."

Montez will head up to the bridge with Boris in tow.  When they are there he will indicate a seat (Kriger's) and plop down in his own.  It is obviously Montez' seat from the bright wolf's head painted on the back (Montez actually has skill in painting and does some mean nose art).

On the comm;  "Kriger, this is Montez.  The captain wants 'your hairy ass' back on board the ship on the double.  He looks ruffled, did you guys rob a bank or despoil the local virgins?"

Safe in the knowlege that she had secured medbay all proper like when they
had left, Kat watched the every forceful captain start to work his blood
pressure up.  His use of the word MudMen make her blink for a bit but she
didn't respond.  Instead she watched him for signs of his blood pressure
getting the better of him.  It also gave her an opportunity to watch Tez on
the bridge and wonder what was happening.

It's a ship.  Much better than the death trap you just left.  It's
clean and everything is in place.
The engineering section is cleaner than the mess area of most ships
you have served on since you left the Solomani Confederation Marines.

Jace checks his comm, and finds a well rated hotel nearby.
No fleet in orbit around this world, so rooms are plentiful and 
discounts are available.
You end up with a large room with very large variable gravity bed and 
bathroom like you haven't seen since you were body guarding pop stars.
Water and sonic showers with variable output heads and a soaking tub 
that would be cozy for a half dozen.

The presence of the doctor on the bridge does not go unnoticed. And  
in spite of the fact that I'm in command mode. I seem outwardly  
collected. Like I am used to being in command and know well how to  
wield that command.

When Kriger arrives on the bridge get down the business of sharing  
information.

Holovid and it was called....Laura Croft Tomb Raider.  Can't remember what
episode or number it was though, but she had the BEST bikini and swimsuits
in that movie.  I went out and bought some just like it.  Perhaps I can find
a harness in Kar...MY stuff...that would be like it also.  My hair is a
little longer then hers but I could tie it back in a braid and then if it

"Not in my debriefing in particular, but something is just not right.  
I want to hear what Kriger has to say before we get into this any  
further though.
We'll keep that thruster idea in mind, But it's still going to be  
difficult to do if we are all away from the ship for a time."

Hand Montez the piece of paper with the contact info I have for Theo  
written on it. No name of course. Just an ID number.
Go over to the bridge hatch...
Close the hatch...
Take out my big black marker pen.

(Just for you Red. LOL)

Draw a horizontal line across the top of the hatch about a quarter of  
the way down.
Draw a vertical line down from the horizontal line. Roughly dividing  
the hatch into equal halves.

Above the left side of the divide write 'US'. Write 'THEM' on the  
other side.
Put Montez and Kriger's names on the left side.
Underneath that write. 'Send Message for Request for assistance''.

Write Boris, Kat and my name underneath that.
Below our names write 'Decoys'

Write Kriger's name again.
Below his name write. 'find patron and advise'

On the right side of the divide write down the Lieutenant's name.
Draw a couple of lines and to the right of them write down 'Pilots'
below that write. 'How Many of Them?'
Then write 'How Many Others on Port against us?'

Draw a arrows from Montez and Kriger's names to this last two questions.

Last on the left side Write Gwerf's and Spruance's names. Below that

"Not in my debriefing in particular, but something is just not right.  
I want to hear what Kriger has to say before we get into this any  
further though.
We'll keep that thruster idea in mind, But it's still going to be

Hand Montez the piece of paper with the contact info I have for Theo  
written on it. No name of course. Just an ID number.
Go over to the bridge hatch...
Close the hatch...
Take out my big black marker pen.

(Just for you Red. LOL)

Draw a horizontal line across the top of the hatch about a quarter of  
the way down.
Draw a vertical line down from the horizontal line. Roughly dividing  
the hatch into equal halves.

Above the left side of the divide write 'US'. Write 'THEM' on the  
other side.
Put Montez and Kriger's names on the left side.
Underneath that write. 'Send Message for Request for assistance''.

Write Boris, Kat and my name underneath that.
Below our names write 'Decoys'

Write Kriger's name again.
Below his name write. 'find patron and advise'

Montez will cock his head to once side as he studies the captain's artwork.  He flips his ears forward and back in a nod of agreement; most humans were distressing lacking in the proper level of paranoia but this human could have been a vargr for his degree of caution.

"A proper idea captain.  I would also suggest that Karl was 'solomani' as you say and his sudden departure could be tied into our sudden problem rather than Boris here."  He gives Boris a friendly poke.  "Kriger and I will take care of what needs to be done."

He looks around.  "I'd not suggest that we all stampede off the ship at once but a few of us at a time.  The doctor and I can go take care of the first two issues," he points to the contact of 'Theo' and discovering their opposition.  "Kriger can double up on this with me," he holds up the contact information.  "And take care of these," he points to contact patron and discovering the opposition.  "He can follow the doctor and I by about ten minutes and then about 15 minutes later you and Boris can take care of our the last bit," he points to retrieving Gwerf and the Rat

He looks at Kat, "What do you say Doctor?  Up for some fun?"  He gives her a friendly poke and wags his tail;  "You are a decorative female but as dangerous as a tiger, do you care to hunt with me?"

"You might be right. And Montez might be right as well. it may have  
more to do with our former crew mate than yourself. But we are still  
in a situation. I suggest we go someplace off the ship and talk. I  
want the Doctor to accompany us. I think I know the perfect place."

On our side of the hatch right down the name of the bar I spotted  
earlier.

available.

Advanced Combat Rifle

The ACR is unloaded and no magazines or ammunition for it are with the 
other gear.

Very sturdy with a hard irradiated plastic stock and fore grip that 
looks like a light wood grain.
Optical scope and an adjustable ballistic nylon sling.  You note that 
there is no electronics to be found and the coloring of the rifle and 
sling would blend well with a night, wooded or desert background.  Two 
spare magazines and 100 rounds.

What is obviously missing is what Steiner had on his person when he left 
  the ship.

Perfect, he didn't turn it off.  Triangulate the return signal from it 
to get a direction and distance, map the location, and then head out to 
pay him a visit.  I know I'm going to get killed, but orders are orders.

The return signal is coming from a local repeater in the starport.
You can try leaving a message at the tone.

Kat looks over everything.  Ok, here's the deal.  There isn't much that I
want left so shall we say I'll donate it to the ship?  I'll take some of his
clothes for ritual burning and spacing later, although the one sweatshirt IS
comfy.  The one ACR was a present from Kriger so I want to give it back to
Kriger to deside who gets it.  Besides totally lacking identification
papers, any type of electronics gear and such, that is the whole of who we
knew of Karl Steiner."

Kat takes comfort in the fact that the clothes that she had bought him plus
the jewelry were gone but also realizes that the jewelry (tie tac,
cufflinks, watches, etc.) would be easy to convert to creds.

Go through the pockets of the vest and coveralls and all the  
clothing. Turn the gloves inside out. don't rip out any liners of any  
of the clothing but examine it closely for items that might be  
concealed in the linings. Papers, small iems that wouldn't be  
detected normally.

Dismiss the other items in the two boxes. Carefully empty the  
contents of both boxes onto the spare bunk. CHeck out the boxes  
themselves. looking for false bottoms, concealed compartments where  
small items can be hidden away. Tip both boxes over to see if  
anything falls open. If nothing then hand each one to Boris.
"Feel like taking these apart?"

Look at the Doctor.
"Nothing either complicated or extravagant Doctor. The powers that be  
are going to be looking for us. So we are going to be reasonably easy  
to find. We'll put on a bit of a show of sorts. You know going to a  
couple of the shadier places on port. Just to give them reason to  
concentrate on us. This will give our Vargr a chance to pick up on  
anyone following us. This will also give them the opportunity to go  
off on their own for at least a short time to see what they can find

Boris merely raises an eyebrow and takes a large multi tool out of a sheath
on his side and begins the task. First simply examining them for seams and
how they are put together. Do rough measurements to verify inside vs
outside dimentions. What are they made of? How are they put together? Can
they be taken apart without destroying them?

They are boxes.  Made of very sturdy and strong plastic.
The box itself appears to be a single molded piece.
The lid also.  The hinges and latch look to be same material and are 
bonded to the box in a matter that says this can be a working box 500 
years from now.
At appears to be just a box.  It just emits a feeling of boxness to you.
Taking it apart would be easy with a laser cutter.
It is that part about not destroying them that has you stumped.

Montez will leave a message;  "This is Montez.  Mitch requests the assistance of Theo at the Ridge downport contact.  Contact him at [insert perscom code] or me [insert persom code]."  While he is talking he will keep his head down to foil lip readers.  Once done he is done he will hang up the handset and saunter towards the IN office.  Once there he will ideally find a coffee shop or cafe where he can sit and look things over.  He'll also keep his eye out for bars and such.

OOC: How far away is the office?  Also are there taxis and such?  If the distance is more than a quick walk and there are manned taxis he may take one in order to pump the driver for information.

It's not a big starport.  Well equipped, but not very large.  You take
a rapid slidewalk and an elevator to get near the offices.

There is a small coffee/snack shop nearby with tables that will
provide the view you want.
