Boris does not follow but stands and looks at the others assembled. He does smile, briefly again, at the doctor. 

"Is this kind of meeting normal?"






Kat smiles and gives a small delicate shrug. "Normal by what standard?  I find it extremely normal for captains to call meetings.  It gives them something to do.  Of course I might not be normal and therefore what I find normal would actually be abnormal.  You could ask our Vargr if it was normal, but then you'd have to find a normal vargr and I don't think our Vargr ARE normal...they are exceptional.  Therefore asking them if it was normal might not be right either.  You could ask our engineer if it was normal but we ALL know our engineer isn't normal.  But since you asked ME, and thank you for asking me, yes I think it's normal."   Kat grins.

Montez wags his tail and wriggles his ears in amusement at the doctor's sally.  "Now you'd think the doctor was a vargr  with that answer!"  He lashes his tail at her;  "This crew is anything but ordinary.  With luck the captain or Kriger kicked over a wasp's nest and made things interesting."

He looks at Boris as he continues to flick his tail at Kat;  "You know our patron, Sir Jace is a... 'treasure hunter'?  That tends to attract attention at times."
