Dr. Cross takes this in. She isn't a spacer by trade, but she has spend
the last few years travelling on small space craft. She mentally notes
that it's just after noon local time, and the ship opened its airlock at
0945 local time, and the former IN members had to go to the IN offices
before Gwerf and the Rat could do anything. Dr. Cross can't think of a
single port she has been in that would have started a major refit, such
as a ship's life support system, in under two hours. Perhaps things
work differently in the Imperial Navy.

Looking up at Mad Dog, an apt name perhaps in this instance, Kat starts to talk in a low voice. "I'm not sure about how IN does thing captain, but I really don't think Rat is intentionally messing up your schedule. If there is one thing I've noticed about him is that he is soooo into the ship that it's not funny. Actually he is being pretty brave going OFF the ship in the first place. It is totally out of his "safe" environment". Going into a bookstore probably was one of the better things for him. It is something that would have grounded him. Knowing him, he probably is looking for the latest manuals or stuff for engineering. Those engines purr almost as good as I do. Didn't they have to go to the IN offices before he and Gwerfie could do anything? I mean this IS a major refit job right? We haven't been in port that long for them to REALLY have started."
