"Doctor... It is the responsibility of the commanding officer to
assure the safety of his crew. They work together as a team. When one
of them stops following instructions the entire machine breaks down
rather quickly. That is one of the reasons that ship commanders may
appear to be so harsh on their crew. We require them to follow
instructions or orders to the best of their ability. If I have to
guess at how one of my crew is going to handle themselves in a
situation then they are useless to not only me, but to the rest of
their shipmates as well. We have to be able to count on each other.
Otherwise it's a recipe for disaster."

Captain Alexander "Mad Dog" Mitchell

Kat, immensely pleased that she'll get to see the file, smiles at Mitch. "It's not really so different from being a doctor. It's my responsibility to assure the health of the crew. Everybody has to work as a team. If they don't follow perscriptions they might break down. I think i'm glad that you've joined us Mitch. You'll be good for us."

Hmmmm, Boris absorbs the conversation while adding nothing additional. Looks like an officer and sounds like one. Looks like a civilian doctor, sounds like one too. This should be interesting.
