Montez walks over to the counter and orders a couple of bottles of fruit juice.  He slips in and out of Galangic and Irilitok Vargr as he orders the juice and chats with Gwerf.


vr/"I thought you had a gun."  He sips his juice.  "Pretty good stuff, huh?  Anyway, do you want to get a pistol?  With your background I assume you know how to use one.  With the drugs we might be able to use our medical doctor's credentials to get access to at least moderate quantities.  We can make some anonymous inquiries to see what the laws are here locally."







 

vr/"I have the staple gun, but its a piece of crap. It served me well over the years, but its just beat to crap now. This juice is awesome...  I ain't been in a lot of gun battles, but we got out of Azun one time in dire straits. There was no way to reason out of it. What a rush, though! I'm used to doing a lot of planetary work, but something is telling me that trouble is heading our way. You're a fighter. You can help me get ready for it to be sure.


 

I think we could have a good shot of getting the stuff I need if I can get to a university and make some contacts. How'd you get here? Did you take your bike out? You totally have to teach me how to ride one, Mon. I also gotta hit two salvage yards for the right Air/Water solenoid valves for the Life support refit. I don't know If I gotta wait here for Engineer Wingnut or what. That guy has gotta be drinking the reactor water at night. "

Sipping the fruit juice.  vr/"We should stock a couple of cases of this stuff before we leave."  He gives Gwerf a friendly nip on the shoulder and growl. vr/"We can get you a gun, maybe even legally as long as we are in the starport proper. (OOC: I assume this is an Imperial starport?)  What kind of gun do you want, a big slug thrower or a snub?  With your zero g skills I'd recommend a snub."

He holds up a hand.  vr/"First the new skipper wants me to find out what's going on with the IN guys.  He thinks that some lieutenant and group of pilots in the office has is out for us.  Had me call some friend of his and then sent me to do some snooping.  I need to take care of that first before we go looking for a gun."

"I'm thinking of heading into the IN office to see what's going on.  With Spruance in there I can say I've come to fetch him."
