Montez' ears droop slightly but then pick back up.  "Well, let us know where you're headed.  We can use some good pointers from some one stationed here on where to party."  

He leans in close, whiskers tickling the Rat's ear;  "Kriger uncovered what may be a plot by one of the anti-Solomani imperial types to tag us as spies or at least keep us under tight surveillance.  The captain sent me out to find you and Dr. Gwerf and see what I could find out about this plot.  Supposedly there are a group of local IN pilots, probably all second raters, who are in cahoots with this IN lieutenant."  Montez looks around suspiciously and his fur bristles;  "I would think our new captain could use his prestige to intimidate the lower charisma naval types into leaving us alone but it seems you humans aren't as refreshingly direct and open as we Vargr."
