Look at the doctor for a moment.

"Well... I was a captain in the Imperial Navy until about a week ago.  
And since the doctor isn't real familiar with me I suppose she still  
tends to be a little formal with me. I personally don't need a crew,  
but the ship I came out here on is looking for some replacement crew.  
So I offered to help out with recruiting. "

I'm not going to tell this man any more of the truth than he already  
knows. If I have to I'll bullshit him till he either lets me talk to  
his superior or he arrests me. But I will be polite about it. I am  
making no attempt to disguise the fact that I am just  talking bullshit.
