[TML] English vs Metric (was RE: The TML Lives)

Now, let's say whatever stranded the unknown aliens
in this area does the same to the PC's - so instead of
one crippled starship, you've got two.  Maybe the two
crews can work together and make one fly to safety,
if they can overcome the "far worse problems".  If they
can, whose interstellar empire do they fly to?
