Went and read that.  Believe it or not, I had already included most of these
in my Serene Travelling background, except I went a bit further with the
aliens.  All my sentient races were originally humans with whom the Ancients
tampered.  And my Ancients aren't dinosaurs but time-travelling humans.  I
bought an odd little time travel game a few months back called Continium and
it got me to thinking . . .

I also have not made any basic changes to economics and interstellar trade.
I've just starting writing these up, though.  So we'll see.  But I'm not
leaning that way.  I think I'll stick with the very limited nanotech of GT.
IMTU, a few serious "gray goo" incidents convinced the Imperium and others
that fully developing (meaning "fully relying upon") nanotech was just too
risky.
