I've been saying this WRT to Traveller, other rpgs, and various fashions 
(clothing styles, what parts of men and women 'should be' shaved, etc.) 
for a decade now, and IME the vast majority of people have trouble even 
understanding what's being said, let alone stepping back from their 'in 
the moment' point of view and looking at things with a little less passion.
