There seems to be a continuity glitch in the above.  Landing at an
airport (starport) mere hours before it got blown up and ending up
stranded there until rescued sounds like a *very* "PC-ish" thing to
have happen to the guy.  Of course, PCs generally don't *want* to get
rescued by the IN.  The closest any of mine ever came was when one of
them - a Baron - asked to borrow some Marines for a while.

<A couple of new players laughed at that, until I said (playing the
Admiral concerned): "Hmmm.  I can let you have two squads.  But you
must promise to return them in good condition.">
