I'm with Greg. Keep 'em long. This way we can have some real weather
in the mid-latitudes without needing to be on the shore of a megasea.
The extreme variances between the inner and outer edge temps are
averaged out by the the air meeting in the middle, in the process
yeilding "interesting" weather.
