The ocean/land effects I mentioned before work due to differences in 
heat capacity. Even if they reach the same temp by midday, it takes 
the water a lot longer to heat up and cool down. So the temps are 
different for a while after sunrise and after sunset.

Given the length of the days, this will be a significant effect...
