Such is the mining life. I expect that the TU is full of gutted shells  
like this in asteroid belts and on played-out mining worlds.

There's similar ruins somewhere in California that show up all the  
time in movies, particularly post-=apocalypse ones for some reason (it  
may be a gravel pit by day...), and when we watched "Life on Mars"  
there was a chase through a derelict gymnasium with a huge empty pool  
that we've seen previously on an episode of "Prime Suspect" and an  
episode of "MI-5", and, I think one other Beeb police procedural.  
(Wire in the Blood, maybe?).

I'd not be surprised.
