I remember reading somewhere that at least 50% of most semen was
actually anti-semen, designed to seek out and destroy the semen of
previous partners.  Since semen only stays active for a few minutes
(?), that means that (evolutionarily speaking) the body expects that
there will usually be at least one competitors a few moment "ahead" if
it, whenever it tries to spread it's DNA around.
