Ah.

But what if their duty was to "assist" (I'm pretty sure it says
something like in the job description they put on their resumes), yet
they did nothing?  Wouldn't they then have to prove that doing nothing
somehow fulfilled some definition of "assist?"  Sounds to me like that
would be rather hard to do.
