Umm . . . then you obviously didn't read my spoilers (back up thread).
 If you think Vampires was a better book that movie and Near Dark was
a classic, then don't bother with 30 Days of Night.  The premise could
have made a great vampire movie.  But what these guys did with it . .
. words fail me.
