There's a "system?"  I didnt' know that.  I just happened to pick up
the book on sale at my FLGS.  Like I said, I'm still reading through
it (as one of several reading projects).  I've fallen behind lately
because I just introduced a female friend to Laurell K. Hamilton's
Anita Blake series . . . and now I have to re-read the early books, so
we can have something to talk about!

Lori (the friend) is very quick, BTW.  She instantly picked up on how
central a certain "minor" character was to the plot of the first book.
 This particularly impressed me because *I* didn't spot it anything
like as early . . . even when I re-read it!
