Nifty keen.  Although, like Tim said, it could do with a little
editorial work.  I especially like the motivations of the characters,
the shared religion of Davi and Hegeh (especially in that it crosses
species and the non-human is the higher initiate) and the
homeworld-based conflict between Tam and Li.  This makes the
characters really come alive.  :-)
