Mouleemann's Discount Robotics: Mouleemann is a packrat who buys up
anything to do with robotics, whether it works or not, regardless of
condition. He pays as little as he can, without losing the purchase.
The good stuff he fixes and puts in his showroom (where he sells it
for nearly-new prices, when he can find a sucker). The okay stuff he
strips for parts. The rest gets piled into "The Discount Barn," which
is a large compartment with a old-style commercial scale at the
entrance. Customers are weighed as the enter and again when they
leave the Barn, paying Mouleemann Cr10 per pound of junk they remove
for him.
I used MDR's in my last campaign. It was quite popular with two of my
players, who were robot nuts. Of course, after their "security robot"
attacked an Imperial customs inspector (they hadn't remembered to make
an exception for customs inspectors in their instructions to it about
gaurding the ship . . .), they weren't allowed to build any more
robots. So the group never went back to MDR.
