Love the "cunning" knitted hat Jayne got from his mother.

Sorry. Don't remember that one. I did love the show, though. My
favorite character was Ambassador Londo Molarri. I could *so* see him
as the duke of an Imperial subsector . . . weird hairstyle and all.

I own one, but I've only used it for DVDs and videos for about three
years now. I *had* a subscription to DirecTV for most of that time,
but it was for my roommate(s) benefit. I never even hooked up my box.
When my last roomie left (er . . . was ejected for failing to get and
keep an actual job), I called the company to cancel my service. The
girl on the phone talked me into merely suspending it for six months,
in exchange for a free DVR when it activated again. So I may actually
watch TV now (sorta).

BTW, Jerry, I seriously recommend buying the DVDs of both the Firefly
series (a two hour pilot and 13 episodes) and the Serenity movie which
followed it. Loren (and several others on this list) agree with me
that it's the most Travelleresque show yet produced. Of course, you
DO have to ignore that it's all supposed to take place in a single
star system (Joss Whedon is long on story-telling, short on science).
But, hey, nothing's perfect. :-)
