[TML] Booze for BITS (Was Droids)

Hi All,
It's been a while since I've posted anything here
(my computer is so slow it is infuriating trying to get thru all those posts:.(

But, anyhow, a while ago I was enquiring as to what was Canon in terms of alcoholic beverages in the TU
and everyone was most helpful

Well, I am attempting to do a contribution to the British Isles
Traveller Support group's next Newsletter and I hope to be able to do a brief write up of not only some made up drinks that I think would fit well in the TU (Old Dog etc. Yep, I dragged it out again:.)

but I thought that this would be a perfect opportunity to catalogue in one place so to speak (although I think the article is to be spread out over several issues) all those classic bits of
Canon such as Tokaj wine etc.

My only problem is that I cant seem to access the TML archives and thus cant see what was mentioned at the time.

I have tried to do Tokaj justice (using Azhanti High Lightning and Wikipedia)and given it a nice little write up (just under a 1,000 words)and I have just written up Groat's Milk Kumis (dont know how Canonical I have been though as I just kind of attached the drink to the original Turkic Solomani guys that met the Aslan for the first time and also attached it to the Zhodani as it seemed to fit in an old school Star Trek Klingon meets the Russians kind of thing)

Gugnir's Lambic Red I have done a small bit for but again I have nothing to go on so I probably have not matched what Canon says about it

Anyway, I am trying (and I hope that I have given enough credit to the TML for all the major help) and think it should be a neat little article (still needs a good intro tho) even if it is little more than a list of booze

But, as I say, I hope to catalogue all the Canon drinks and add stuff of my own invention (which I am hoping is not so obvious that it has already been done)

If anyone could email me one of those old mailings that had the list of canonical drinks that would be very, very helpful

and I dont even drink much myself those days, hah:.)

Best wishes

Alan Hume
