I was the coxswain of the admirals barge, though it was a
"sea duty" berth, I lived on shore most of the time, thus
the apartment in town. I only went to sea if the barge did or
I needed to satisfy my qualifications to make rate.

My time in the USN was golden, until I hit 2nd class, I PNAed
the 1st class exam 3 times, at the same time they were
reducing NacSpecWarfare, and dumping a
bunch of 1st and 2nd class Boatswain's Mates
back into fleet at the same time.
