Yep.  Which is another reason why the interstellar maps IMNewTU (which
are slightly-altered canon hex maps of District 268 and immediate
environs) show stargate connections, not real distances.  I know this
horrendously violates canon, as I've been told MM says jump space maps
1:1 to real space.  <shrug>  Sue me.  :-)

Basically, PCs have to go there - or talk to someone who's been there
recently - before they can know what's there.  At first, I was tempted
to flatly state in my Serene Travelling Player's Handbook that each
system of the "Charted Universe" was in a wildly-different part of the
Milky Way or even in a different galaxy altogether.  But I think I'm
instead just gonna leave this unspecified.  Since a given system's
precise "real" location has no impact on anyone's decisions (economic,
political or otherwise), nobody's ever bothered to find out.
