Same here.  I avoided buying it for some time, figuring it couldn't be
better than his original "Path Of The Fury" that I read many, many
moons ago.  I was wrong.  IFB greatly details the backstory of the
hero, making her and her actions a lot more believable.  FYI, POTF
opens with the "pirate" raid on her family's farm.
