Postulate: You are using nickel-iron asteroidal material, since it has
to stand up to the heat of the molten steel without cracking or
deforming.

So . . . how are you getting the inner form out of the finished ship?
If it's tough enough to hold up against molten steel, it's going to be
a tad difficult to chip out.

NOTE: The vibration idea is a good one, though.  But you wouldn't need
a seperate device.  You could do it by pulsing the grav field
generator.
