FMA(TM) is a trademarked system (in the UK) of opposed rolls using
polyhydral dice. There are particular mechanics involved (single or
multiple dice rolled against a single defence dice) and this allows a
series of games to be written using this trademarked system (Dirtside
II, Stargrunt II, and some other games not yet out). I can't help but
think that some conventions may have been TM'd by others (or otherwise
IP protected).
