Or, does it mean the doctor simply hits each crewer with a monthly dose of
"Rad-B-Gone(ITM)" and flush any contamination from their system? (Or
"RadProtect(ITM)" to prevent it...)

We can infer, but not authoritatively from the data point you utilize, that
shielding exists that is sufficient. There may be other reasons that the
radiation is not a long term problem.
