ROFL!

RealLife Story:

Many years ago, when I lived in the New York 'burbs, myself and
several friends went down to NYC to celebrate the 4th of July. We
scored a bunch of bottle rockets down in Chinatown, and some time
later were sitting in a small concrete park/square firing them off.
There was some metal flashing along the edge of the square that
provided a convenient launch facility..it was bent out a bit and held
them so they went off very nearly vertically.

The we got one with a warped stick...

Stuck it in the crack, properly aimed it, lit the fuse and watched in
horror as the thing rotated around to point at about a 50 degree angle
pointed at the building across the street, an apartment building with
balconies.

I remember as if it were slow motion, the rocket firing, streaking
across the street in a perfect trajectory to the balcony and then very
obviously NOT bouncing off of the closed glass door and went cruising
into the apartment at about head height...

We did NOT stick around to see what happened....
