Hmm.  Self-cleaning doesn't repair rips and chips.  And it sounds even less
practical than coating everything with teflon.  We certainly haven't done
that.

Besides, what's the point of making clothes that clean/fix themselves, when
fashion dictates you buy all new in a couple months anyway.  :P

And just because a *planet* is wealthy doesn't mean the vast unwashed masses
will be.
