I read that like 2 days ago but did they not say that they had ground based
spotting lasers to point to the targets the plane would zap??

I like the bit about plausible denieability.  "Ya, my friend Joe just burst
into flames and so did the tanks gun on the other side." State department,
"It was the Cubans, they did it."
