The state of Tennessee makes out-of-state rental cabin owners purchase
a business license and pay business taxes on their 60% of the proceeds
from rental of said units. Most owners own one unit, which probably
rents for something like $8,000 (their cut) per year. The costs of
doing this for the state - long distance - *might* total a bit less
than the proceeds . . . in a good year.
