Garry-  Yes, but you need some mechanism to manage the extraction.
That's WAY more complex than load, rotate, rotate, fire.  Caseless
ammo greatly simplifies firearms.

The mechanism would probably be similar, but would have to be more
complex if you want it to operate on recoil.  Gatling guns were
powered by a hand crank.  That, and the extra barrels allowed more
time for mechanical extraction of the shell.

Hey, if they aren't going to mess around with  handloads, make it
caseless.  More round per kilo of ammo, because you're not carrying
around the brass.  Instead of fin stabilized, rifle it and fire DU
penetrators.  :)  k-tang!

Make it about a 2 cm bore, with a 1cm penetrator in a sabot, and
you've got yourself a nice anti-anything rifle.
