Ah.  I actually read something once where a professional driver was
talking about driving on the street.  He didn't like it.  He found
that he had to drive *slowly* and think about *everything* he was
doing, in order to not automatically fall into his "track mindset."
He did drive legally - by default - but he didn't drive well.  It made
him too nervous.  He preferred letting his wife drive whenever he
could.
