You can't build a mutual history without knowing when each character
did Whatever or at least the sequence they did the Whatevers in.  And
you can't tie either character to an existing background without
knowing when Great War X happened in each of their sequences.

I'm not saying it can't be done.  I'm just saying that it can't be
done *as* you roll up CT characters.  At least, not if you're doing it
by the book, with those chances for death (or optional forced
mustering out after a short two year term) and forced re-enlistment.
