Why do the K'kree want or need to trade with despicable meat eaters.

Its unlikely to be cultural goods, certainly not food.

Manufacturing capability? Assuming the name of the empire (two thousand
suns) is not too much of a hyperbole they can manufacture what they want.

Technology? Perhaps, but that would not be trade in a economic sense but one
of deals.
