Omaha didn't survive the eruption of 2189. Actually most of the terrestrial population died as a result of starvation, disease, fighting over remaining food supplies, cannibalism. The ones who were either buried under the ash or evacuated outsystem were the lucky ones.

(Of course there's a small vociferous minority who would argue otherwise.)

(I haven't run it yet. I'm not even sure if I'm going to have that domned eruption.)
