I'm thinking you're thinking that it has to be mounted in a chassis
the size of a Tigress.  I disagree, obviously.

Referencing Kelly's previous comment, I got the railroad idea not
directly from the MX system, but rather from "Consider Phelbas" by
Iain M. Banks.  Although in that case, it was a mobile command center,
not a weapons system.
