So is flying a passenger aircraft into a skyscraper.

You just found the "Near-C Scout" doomsday weapon.

Basically ANY Traveller light craft has the ability to accelerate  
continuously from weeks or months, and turn itself into a  
planetkiller. (or at least 'all life on the planet'-killer.)

A scout ship moving at .99C cannot be deflected and WILL do massive  
damage to the planet.

So why doesn't it happen in Canon?
