CT was the first RPG I ever played, back in 1983 (the Kinunir will forever
hold a place in my heart as my first adventure). It immediately hooked me
in and I went about scooping up everything I could afford and find at the
time.
I've not played face to face in -years- (location and finding other players
has made this effectively impossible) I've continued buying the various
rulesets (apart from T4) and have almost complete sets of all CT, MT, TNE,
T20 and GT books on my shelves. I never liked Virus (but bought all the
books on loyalty) and prefer the classic setting to the rebellion. The new
GURPS 4e setting in the ISW is rather exciting too.
My preferred rules are CT (using DGP's task system) and GURPS, though I'm
excited about the release of MGT and will pick a copy up sooner rather than
later I think. T5 is eagerly awaited, and I can see myself buying it even if
I never get to play it.
Perhaps if a PBEM was to come along....
