[TML] Which combat system do you prefer?

No, but it's a lot easier on fuel, spare parts are much easier to find
(at least, they were when I ran the game) and it can easily run away
from anything it can't fight.  Nothing can go toe-to-toe with an MBT
(Main Battle Tank) except another MBT.

<snicker!> My first party bought a LAV, too.  They didn't try to go up
against a tank in it.  But they did charge into the middle of a
village occupied by Soviet regulars.  Right in the middle of the
village square, they came to a FULL STOP and began to rake the
surrounding buildings with their chaingun.  They were incredibly
surprised with someone popped up from a spider hole and put an AT
rocket up their rear end.  They all died gruesomely, screaming amidst
the flames . . . only to wake up in their bedrolls in the pre-dawn
mists, having all suffered the same horrible nightmare.  Then I had a
party NPC gasp: "What kind of idiot STOPS a tin can during a
firefight?!"
