Now that is ODD.  I suspect whoever in charge of those decisions
thinks that someone wanting a "serious" book will wait patiently for
however long it takes, but someone wanting a "silly" book will give up
on a whim.  So they string along the first, but don't bother with the
second.  Obviously, that person or persons has no idea that the word
"fan" comes from the root "fanatic."  :-)
