TNE lists the actual loaded mass of a TL15 Scout as 697.9 metric tons with a
volume of 1,400 cubic meters so this vessel will float in water. Earlier TL
version way more due to less efficient hull materials being used. A TL11
scout I did massed at at over 1,000 metric tons. Of course since TNE
construction is not the same as earlier versions it gives only a rough
guide. But at least it uses both mass and volume and surface area.
