What is really funny is that often in the Gem business the "problem"
with man-made is that they are to good. Also they are not fake, in
case anyone was thinking that way. They are the same stones for the
most part. For that man-made (provided they did not know you imported
it from the future :-)) stone 100 years ago you could have bought a
state or something with the quality. The current worst man-mades are
opals. Also opals that are in most stores REALLY suck. They can cost
more per carat than diamonds. If you get the chance look at some
really nice level 5 brightness black opal!
